- Mandatory work health and safety (WHS) training before starting construction work.
- Demonstrates awareness of health and safety laws to work safely and prevent harm.
- Learn to identify and verbally report common construction hazards.
- Understand basic risk control measures and how to respond to incidents and emergencies.
- Correctly select and fit common personal protective equipment (PPE) for construction.
- Aligns with: Model WHS Regulations (Part 1.1 definitions and Part 6.5),
WA OH&S Regulations (Division 11, Part 3), and Victoria OH&S Regulations (Division 3, Part 5.1). - Site-specific induction should be conducted before work.
- Licensing/Regulatory requirements may apply; consult your state/territory WHS authority for details.
