Certificate III in Individual Support

(Ageing)

This qualification reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centered support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability, or some other reason. Work involves using discretion and judgement in relation to individual support as well as taking responsibility for own outputs. Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centered support.

CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing / Home and Community) will consist of the following 13 units (7 core and 6 elective units). You will be required to undertake 120 hours of vocational/work placement (WP) in an approved setting.

When you enrol the total amount will need to be paid. This could be the cost of the full fee for the course or the student contribution amount if you are eligible for a subsidy or concession.
Any upfront fee that exceeds $1000 a payment plan will apply.

Payment plan
If you have difficulties paying for the full cost of a course or the course exceeds $1000, you may be eligible for a payment plan, which will be negotiated upon enrolment.

 

STUDY OPTIONS

Classroom learning (Virtual and In-Class) provides a complete learning experience for students. Conducted in a class environment is a great way to learn face to face or via video conference and facilitated by industry professionals skilled at making the class experience interactive.
Our learning spaces are will equip for in-house simulations and workshops.

Courses may have a combination of online and classroom-based learning. Students are expected to undertake additional personal study to complete the course requirements.

SELECTION OF CRITERIA

As part of the selection criteria for this program, it is highly recommended that students:

  • are aged 16 years or older by the course commencement date
  • have successfully completed Year 10 (or equivalent) or are of mature age
  • have basic English reading and writing skills

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
